Cool things to share

A beautiful movie free on you tube. A movie where nothing happens but everything happens. From National Geographic and youtube - a movie video taped by people around the world in one day. Here is the trailer, the full movie is available on youtube...enjoy

A documentary on the highly controversial proposed pebble mine in Alaska which could put an end of the largest natural salmon run in the world. Beyond it's political message this well made film is a beautiful glimpse into the lives of Alaskan fishing families. The cinematography, music and narrative capture an essence that is so difficult to explain to people who haven't experienced it.

I love this song and this is the cutest cover ever. Please watch this girl and how freaken adorable she is, she is really really into this......and so am I.

Randomly this song ended up on my ipod from some unknown friends playlist, when it came on for the first time I had no idea what it was. So of course I you tube it. And, well, it has a pretty cool message.

This is a random blog that was sent my way and any time I need a laugh I will read one of his hipster posts.

This is a great time lapse that a neighbor made of our beach in Alaska. It really gives you a nice perspective of our long sunny days and extreme tides.

This is our closest friend Raphael's blog. He is an amazing photographer and leads an intriguing life. His blog will follow his bike trip as he rides his bicycle from France to India. It is in French but visit it for the photos even if you don't speak French.

This is our friend Sam's art site. His ink work is brilliant, check it out. I think you can even order some prints. In addition he also leads a fascinating life of climbing and mountaineering.

Perhaps my favorite thing in the world- these always entertaining podcasts.

If you enjoy listening to pocasts like This American Life and you have already heard them all, than you will love this site. They are basically a curator for all radio around the world and they find some really good stories,
